Engage the Range Curriculum
Engage the Range, brought to us by the World Wildlife Fund, The Nature Conservancy and Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever, is an asynchronous problem/solution based curriculum that connects youth to the grassland ecosystem that exists outside their back door. While raising literacy and awareness, the program also engages them in developing solutions to challenges that exist within the grasslands. A powerful component of the program is an on the range experience, where students utilize their senses to evaluate what is happening in nature. The current curriculum focuses on Nebraska Rangelands, but we are currently in the process of raising funds to expand to other regions.
